Donald Trump Found Guilty of 34 Felony Counts

Former President Faces Jail Time After Guilty Verdict

Trump Responds with Attacks and False Claims

Former President Donald Trump has been found guilty of all 34 felony counts in a New York state court. The charges stem from a hush money payment made to adult film star Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign.

The jury deliberated for three days before reaching a verdict. Trump was not present in court when the verdict was read. In a statement released shortly after the verdict, Trump called the charges "a witch hunt" and vowed to appeal.

"This is a political witch hunt," Trump said. "I am innocent of these charges, and I will fight them all the way to the Supreme Court."

Trump's lawyers have already filed an appeal. They are arguing that the charges are politically motivated and that the jury was biased against Trump.

If the appeals court upholds the conviction, Trump could face up to 15 years in prison. He is also facing a separate civil lawsuit brought by Daniels, in which she is seeking damages for the hush money payment.

The guilty verdict is a major setback for Trump, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. It is unclear if the conviction will have any impact on his political future. Trump has hinted that he may run for president again in 2024.
