Winona Ryder Reprises Her Role
Get ready everyone because the ghost with the most is back in town. The countdown for the Beetlejuice sequel starring Jenna Ortega officially titled Beetlejuice 2 has begun.
Ortega takes on the role of Lydia Deetz, the daughter of Winona Ryder's character from the original film. Ryder will also be reprising her role as Lydia's mother.
The film is set 27 years after the events of the first film. Lydia is now a teenager and she's struggling to fit in. When she accidentally summons Beetlejuice, she unleashes a force that she can't control.
Beetlejuice is still the same mischievous ghost we all know and love. He's always up for a good scare, but he also has a heart of gold. He'll do anything to help Lydia, even if it means putting himself in danger.
The film is directed by Tim Burton, who also directed the original film. Burton is known for his dark and whimsical style, and he's sure to bring that same sensibility to the sequel.
Beetlejuice 2 is set to hit theaters in 2023. We can't wait to see what Burton and Ortega have in store for us!
